One of Olesya’s major strengths is tackling challenging situations. In 1998 just after she moved from the Ukraine to California, she successfully fought year-long battle against Leukemia. It changed her perspective on life and taught her the power of never giving up. After she recovered, Olesya decided life was too short to put dreams on hold and pursued a long-held dream from her life in the Soviet Union and became a real estate licensee.
In 2004 Olesya celebrated her first sale, a million dollar property in Orange County, and has never looked back. Building strong relationships is the cornerstone of Olesya’s success, she believes the best way to reach a goal is to help others reach theirs. Relationships developed with builders enabled her to help low to moderate income families achieve their American Dream of homeownership. Giving people the keys to their first home and achieving a 99% closing rate for her clients always brings Olesya joy.
The Real Estate market can be challenging. Olesya helped people through the devastating foreclosure storm from 2007-2015 by earning designations and perfecting her expertise to help people navigate the distressed market and negotiate with their lien holders. It’s her belief the more she know, the more she can help: clients with a smoother buying or selling process, distressed homeowners with holding onto their American dream, Realtor peers with overcoming challenges or simply learning about ever changing real estate world.
Olesya completed specialized CIPS (2005) and Green (2016) training for international sales and ‘Green’ homes. Knowledge and skills gained through these trainings help her bring higher standards to customers by expanding financing options, and educating them on benefits of homeownership in general as well as specific trends like “Green” technologies. She especially enjoy helping veterans and seniors: “We should be giving back – and I am happy to help and support when it is in my power and within my expertise”.
Olesya finds strength in networking and cooperation. In 2006 she formed a social/business networking group for the Russian speaking business community in Orange County to promote higher business standards among the Russian speaking community, and to encourage support for immigrant businesses. Her business relationships with business owners brought together by that networking effort grew over the years and they are still supporting each other even though the “formal” group has been discontinued.
In 2016 and 2017 Olesya was a speaker at a national Real Estate Expo in the Ukraine. Strengthening business relationships with overseas professionals expands options for inbound and outbound global buyers. She is a member of the Global Business Alliance at Orange County REALTORS®, Green Committee at Orange County Realtors and a cadet at the 2017-2018 OCR Leadership Academy. She also joined NAHREP in January 2018. Continuing her education adds value to customers and peers and her participation in events and outreach efforts is something Olesya feels is important and helpful to the others.
In her previous life back in Ukraine Olesya was a linguist, journalist, educator and interpreter. She landed some very interesting jobs and was able to put work for local authorities in Kyiv, Ukraine, several educational establishments and an All-Ukrainian magazine on her resume.
Olesya speaks English, Ukrainian and Russian.
